Lookout

Lookout is a three-storey semi-detached Victorian cottage in Mousehole, the granite fishing village 3 miles south of Penzance. The property sits just 100 metres from the harbour beach, reached by a short downhill walk from the front door.

Three bedrooms across the upper floors provide a king-size double, a standard double, and a second-floor twin. Two bathrooms serve the house - a family bathroom with bath and shower over on the first floor, and a ground-floor shower room. The kitchen has a breakfast bar, and the ground floor also includes a sitting and dining area, a sun room, and a utility room. Electric night storage heating and an electric fire in the sitting room keep things warm. A dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, and microwave are all included, along with WiFi and TV.

There is no on-site parking. The nearest car parks are a 3-to-5-minute walk away, and charges apply. A short hill of about 65 metres leads up from the road to the property - luggage can be unloaded at the bottom before parking. The second-floor stairs are steep with a low ceiling at the top.

Mousehole Beach, sheltered within the 14th-century harbour wall, is 100 metres away. Lamorna Cove, a rocky inlet with clear water for snorkelling, sits 2.8 km along the coast path. Mousehole's harbour lights display in December and the Tom Bawcock's Eve celebration on 23 December draw visitors from across Cornwall.
