Lookout Cottage is a three-storey mid-terrace house in Newlyn, the working fishing port that merges into Penzance's western edge. Sea views from each level are the defining feature - the upper floors look out across Mount's Bay towards St Michael's Mount.

Three bedrooms are spread across the floors: a king-size double, a standard double, and a twin on the second floor (note the limited head height in the twin). One bathroom serves the property, fitted with a bath, power shower over, basin, and heated towel rail. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, and Nescafe pod machine. The sitting room has a gas fire, and gas central heating warms the whole house. WiFi fibre broadband is included.

A rear courtyard holds the washing machine and outdoor furniture. The property sits on a hill with pedestrian-only access - there are no steps permitted via the rear courtyard's steep stairs. On-street parking is available nearby, and a weekly ticket at Sandy Cove car park (about a 4-minute walk) is reimbursable by the owner. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Mousehole Beach lies 2 km south along the coast path, and Eastern Green Beach is 3.5 km to the east near Penzance. Newlyn's fish market, the Tolcarne Inn, and Jelbert's ice cream (made here since 1938) are all within a few minutes' walk. Penzance station, with mainline rail connections, is about a mile east.
