Lodge One

Lodge One is a detached, single-storey lodge at the Aviary development near Brighton Cross, set in quiet mid-Cornwall countryside between Summercourt and Grampound Road. The step-free, all-ground-floor layout makes it the most accessible of the three lodges on the site, suited to families or groups of up to six where mobility matters.

Inside, the open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining, and sitting areas. One double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with basin and WC. A second double and a twin share a separate shower room. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. Wi-Fi is included throughout.

Decking with a picnic bench opens to a lawned garden, with off-road parking on site. The nearest shop and pub are 1.7 miles away at Grampound Road. Whipsiderry Beach, a sheltered cliff-backed cove near Newquay popular for rock pooling, is 11.6 km north - about 18 minutes by car. Newquay itself is under 20 minutes west on the A30, and Truro is roughly 10 miles south.

Best for families with pushchairs or guests with limited mobility who want a mid-Cornwall base with easy access to both coasts. Less good for those wanting village life on the doorstep - the nearest facilities are a short drive away.
