Laburnham

Laburnham is an original one-bedroom beach chalet on the South West Coast Path at Whitsand Bay, sleeping 2 with views to Rame Head from the private deck. The open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area has a Nespresso machine and a sofa bed for a third guest. A wood burner heats the main living space, and the king-size bedroom opens directly onto the deck for sea air in the morning. The setting is exposed and dramatic - this is clifftop Cornwall without other buildings in the sightline.

Access to the chalet is via a steep coastal path, and a wheelbarrow is provided for luggage from the parking area. The approach makes this unsuitable for guests with limited mobility, but the isolation is part of what makes it distinctive. Parking is provided for 1 car. The property is dog-friendly and both Cawsand and Kingsand beaches, which are dog-friendly, are 2.3km by path.

Cawsand village - with a pub, a cafe, and a beach - is a short walk along the coast path. Kingsand sits alongside it and both villages have a quiet, working character that sets them apart from busier Cornish resorts. Plymouth ferry and city centre are accessible via the Cremyll ferry, around 3 miles west. The property was included in About Time Magazine's Top 10 Rooms with a View in 2019, reflecting the quality of the outlook.

Ideal for couples who want a dramatic, remote-feeling coastal location with proper sea views and no neighbours in sight. Best for walkers and those who want a genuinely different kind of stay. Not great for families with young children or anyone who needs flat, easy access to the property.
