Kerbenetty (Harbour Cottage)

Kerbenetty is a traditional Cornish cottage in Portloe, a working fishing village on the Roseland Heritage Coast where crab and lobster boats still operate from the harbour. The cottage sits about 1 minute's walk from both the harbour beach and the Lugger Hotel pub - one of the closest properties to the water in this remote, unspoiled settlement.

Spread over two floors, the cottage has three bedrooms: a double with en-suite bathroom, a second double, and a twin. A family bathroom serves the remaining rooms, both with bath and shower over. Downstairs, a sitting room with wood burner opens into a separate dining room and kitchen. The stairs are steeper than modern builds, with a handrail on one side - typical of older Cornish cottages. A cot and highchair are available.

Outside, the garden has patio furniture, a BBQ, and a fire bowl. A garage provides bike storage - useful for coast path cycling. Off-road parking takes 2 cars via a steep driveway. Two dogs are welcome.

Carne Beach, a sheltered mile-long sandy beach on the Roseland, is 3.5 km along the coast. Porthluney Bay, backed by the Caerhays Estate and its castle, sits 4.1 km away. Portloe has no shops - the nearest supermarket is in Tregony, about 5 miles north. Veryan village, known for its five thatched round houses, is 2 miles by road.
