Gurnard's Cottage

Gurnard's Cottage is a converted cottage at Treen, a small hamlet on the coast road between St Ives and Zennor, roughly 6 miles west of St Ives. The property sleeps 3 and sits within walking distance of the Gurnard's Head headland, with the coast path and a beach reachable in 10 minutes on foot.

Spread over two floors, the cottage has a double bedroom and a single bedroom, with a ground-floor bathroom containing a bath with shower over. The ground-floor sitting room has a dining area and a wood-burning stove. A sun room adds extra light and space. The kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Bedlinen and towels are provided.

An enclosed rear courtyard with gravel and furniture offers a sheltered outdoor space. A front gravelled area has additional seating. Off-road parking is available for one car. Two dogs are welcome at a charge of 25 pounds each per week. The Gurnard's Head pub - well regarded for its food - is 0.2 miles away.

This stretch of the Penwith coast is among the most remote in west Cornwall, with granite moorland running down to the Atlantic cliffs. The nearest beaches to St Ives - Eastern Green Beach (8.1km) and Porthmeor Beach (8.7km) - are a short drive east. Zennor, with its church and the Wayside Museum, is about 2 miles along the coast path.
