41 Back Road West

A Grade II-listed converted fisherman's cottage on one of St Ives' seaside streets. 41 Back Road West sleeps 3 across two bedrooms - one double, one single - and welcomes dogs. Porthgwidden Beach and Porthmeor Beach are both 200 metres from the front door.

Inside, exposed brickwork and painted beams reflect the building's age, while the layout has been updated for comfort. The lounge has a wood burner and seating, and the kitchen-diner is equipped with a dishwasher and breakfast table for three. One bathroom has a walk-in shower. The cottage is accessed via a short flight of external stone steps.

There is no garden or parking, but the location compensates. Porthgwidden Beach - a small sheltered cove between the harbour and the Island headland - is 200 metres north. Porthmeor Beach, the town's Atlantic-facing surf break directly below Tate St Ives, is the same distance west. St Ives Harbour Beach is 300 metres away.

St Ives has drawn artists since the 1880s, and the Tate gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum are both under 0.5 miles from the cottage. Independent galleries, restaurants and shops line the narrow streets in every direction. Children and babies are not permitted at this property.
