Gilly Skyber

Gilly Skyber is a two-bedroom cottage on a working farm near Garras, between Gweek and the Lizard. The reverse-level layout places bedrooms on the ground floor and the living space upstairs, and the property sleeps four with space for two dogs.

Upstairs, the open-plan living area has a kitchen with electric oven, hob, and dishwasher, a dining space, and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. The first-floor position gives the room a sense of openness and light. On the ground floor, one king-size and one twin bedroom (zip-link, convertible to king on request) share a bathroom with bath and shower over. A utility room and first-floor cloakroom complete the layout. Underfloor heating runs throughout.

An enclosed lawned garden gives dogs a secure outdoor space, and off-road parking fits two cars. The farm has resident dogs, so pets should stay within the gated garden area.

Poldhu Cove Beach - a sandy family beach on the Lizard where Marconi sent the first transatlantic wireless signal - is 5.7 km away. Gunwalloe Church Cove, a National Trust beach with a 13th-century clifftop church, is 5.8 km south. Gweek village, home to the National Seal Sanctuary, is about 1.3 miles away, and the Helford River's tidal creeks and ancient oak woodland are within a short drive.
