Helford Passage Beach - a sand-and-shingle stretch on the Helford River with the Ferryboat Inn and a seasonal foot ferry to Helford village - is 5.7km downstream. Ponsence Cove, a remote sandy beach on the Lizard, lies 7.1km south. Kayak and dinghy hire is available from Gweek's boatyard, and Frenchman's Creek is roughly 5km along the river.
