Gorran Haven beach is 2.3 kilometres away. Pentewan Beach and Hemmick Beach extend the options to the north and south. Mevagissey - a working harbour village with fish-and-chip shops and a small aquarium - is a short drive inland. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are three kilometres from Mevagissey.

Best for larger groups or multi-family holidays needing space and sea proximity. Less good for couples or anyone without a car - Portmellon is a quiet village with minimal facilities of its own.
