Cowslip

Cowslip is a two-bedroom self-catering cottage at Gwithian, near Hayle in west Cornwall, sleeping four. The property welcomes dogs and is designed as accessible accommodation, with parking on-site.

Inside, the layout is open-plan, with the living, dining, and kitchen areas running together on the ground floor, and French windows opening into the garden. The two bedrooms comprise one double and one twin. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are provided.

Outside, the cottage has a private garden with space for dogs and for sitting out. Gwithian itself is a small village backed by sand dunes on the north Cornwall coast, a short walk from the beach.

Gwithian Beach and Godrevy Beach form part of the three-mile stretch of sand running up to Godrevy Point, with the lighthouse offshore made famous by Virginia Woolf's novel. The beach catches the Atlantic swell and is a popular surf break, with a surf school and beach cafes in season. The National Trust car park at Godrevy gives access to the cliff walks along the headland.

Hayle, about two miles south, has supermarkets, independent shops, and the Hayle Estuary, a birdwatching reserve. St Ives sits a short drive west, with its harbour, Tate gallery, and a cluster of sandy beaches. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs above Gwithian in both directions.
