Chy Lowen

Chy Lowen is a four-bedroom house at Wheal Whidden in Carbis Bay, sleeping 8 guests, with a seaward-facing balcony and 300 metres to the beach. Two pets are welcome.

Four bedrooms each have en-suite facilities. The super-king room has a bath with shower over, the king-size has a walk-in shower, a ground-floor double has a shower, and a ground-floor twin (zip/link, convertible to super-king) shares the main bathroom with bath and shower. The open-plan living space combines a kitchen with double electric oven, gas hob, American-style fridge/freezer with ice machine, and a coffee machine. A gas fire warms the sitting area. Sky TV with Sports and Movies is in the living room, with Freeview in all bedrooms. An iDock is fitted in the living area and master bedroom.

Outside, elevated decking and an enclosed rear garden have furniture. Off-road parking fits 5 cars. Two cots and a highchair are provided.

Carbis Bay beach - a 500-metre arc of Blue Flag sand with seasonal lifeguard cover and calm, sheltered water - is 300 metres away. Porthminster Beach in St Ives is 1.6km, and St Ives Harbour Beach 1.8km. The St Ives Bay Line rail halt at Carbis Bay connects to St Erth in 12 minutes, where mainline trains run to London Paddington. St Ives itself is a 25-minute walk along the coast path.
