Chenalls Cottage

Chenalls Cottage is a restored farmhouse at Crelly near Wendron, a few miles north of Helston in central Cornwall. The property sits in open countryside and sleeps six across three bedrooms, making it a solid base for groups wanting to explore the Lizard and the Helford River.

Three bedrooms - two doubles and one twin - are spread across the upper floor. A bathroom with separate shower, basin, and WC serves the bedrooms, while a ground-floor shower room with basin and WC provides a second option. The sitting room features two wood-burning stoves as its centrepiece. The kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher. TV with Freeview, DVD player, and WiFi are provided. Electricity is included. Bed linen and towels come with the booking, and a cot and high chair are available on request.

Outside, an enclosed garden has furniture and a barbecue. Parking takes three cars. The cottage has ground-floor accessibility via the shower room.

Porthleven Beach - Cornwall's most exposed south-facing surf break, backed by a working harbour with well-regarded restaurants - is 8.4 km away. Helford Passage Beach, a sheltered sand-and-shingle shore on the Helford River with the Ferryboat Inn nearby, lies 9.9 km east. Helston town centre provides everyday shopping, and the Flora Day celebrations each May are worth timing a visit around.
