Bridge Lodge

Inside, the open-plan lounge and kitchen is entered via the front veranda. The living area has a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker; the kitchen runs to an oven, fridge with ice compartment, coffee machine, and microwave. The bedroom sits above, reached by a permanent wooden ladder - the zip-and-link double can be made into a twin on request, though headroom is reduced in twin configuration. A sofa bed in the lounge adds a flexible sleeping option. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC.

Outside, the veranda and garden lawn have seating and a BBQ for al fresco meals. The nearest beach is Carlyon Bay, 10.5km south, with Charlestown a similar distance. Lanhydrock House and the Eden Project are both within a 30-minute drive, and a local nature reserve borders the cottage.

Best for: couples or solo travellers wanting a quiet rural base with direct dog-walking from the door. Less good for: anyone prioritising beach access - the coast is a drive rather than a walk from here.
