Blue Anchor

Blue Anchor is a three-bedroom stone cottage in Fraddon, near St Columb Major, on Cornwall's north coast. Built in the 1800s with traditional cob construction, the cottage has low ceilings in the lounge and dining room that reflect its age, and a woodburning stove in the sitting room.

The ground floor includes a kitchen, dining room, sitting room, and a shower room with step-free access. Upstairs, the king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over. A double and a twin bedroom complete the sleeping arrangements. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer.

Outside, an enclosed garden wraps around the property with lawn, gravelled seating area, and a Weber-style drum BBQ. Off-road parking sits at the rear, with overflow parking available in the pub car park opposite. Watergate Bay, a 2-mile stretch of sand with consistent surf, is 9.5km away. Whipsiderry Beach, a quieter cliff-access cove, is the same distance.

Fraddon sits at the junction of the A39 and A3059, putting Newquay's beaches about 15 minutes away by car and Padstow roughly 20 minutes. The local pub is on the doorstep. St Columb Major, with its 15th-century church and monthly farmers' market, is a short drive north.
