Aunt Dora's

Aunt Dora's is a three-bedroom cottage on Middle Street in Port Isaac, the north Cornwall fishing village known as the filming location for Doc Martin. The cottage sits roughly 100m from the harbour and the slipway where fishing boats still launch at low tide.

Three bedrooms include a king-size, a twin, and a single room with an additional pull-out bed for a child. One bathroom serves the house, with a bath, shower over, and heated towel rail. The open-plan ground floor combines kitchen, dining area, and sitting room. A woodburning stove anchors the living space - a welcome feature on cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher, air fryer, and the essentials for self-catering.

Port Gaverne Beach is 0.6km away - a sheltered cove with calm water, rock pools at low tide, and year-round dog access. Tregardock Beach, a more remote sandy stretch with powerful surf, lies 5.5km along the coast. Parking is in the public car park rather than at the property.

Port Isaac's harbour area has Nathan Outlaw's Michelin-starred restaurant and several places serving crab sandwiches and fresh catch off the boats. The Fisherman's Friends sing sea shanties on the Platt. The coast path east leads to Port Gaverne in about 10 minutes on foot, while the path west reaches Port Quin, a largely abandoned hamlet, after about 3km of cliff walking.
