The Swallows Nest

This rural cottage is situated on a working farm right on the Devon/Cornwall border, with far-reaching views across the Ham Valley and Launceston and bordering both the River Carey and River Tamar. Ensure you visit Strawberry Fields Farm Shop for all your local produce less than 2 miles away, enjoy afternoon tea in the café and take part in one of their 'pick your own' events throughout the year. Just a short drive away is Homeleigh Garden Centre, within 2 miles. A little further afield is Roadford Lake Activity Centre (9 miles), where you can have a go at a variety of water sports and land-based activities. Waiting to be explored are Bodmin Moor, the Tamar Valley, and Dartmoor National Park, all within 16 miles and the Tamara Coast to Coast Way goes straight past the farm. If you enjoy the sea, head north and visit Bude, pretty Clovelly, or spectacular Hartland Point, all within 30 miles. Other local attractions include Launceston (2 miles), a bustling market town with an original Norman castle, and the port city of Plymouth (27 miles), with its rich maritime history.

As you enter the kitchen, you can't help but gaze down in awe at the old well that the owners have lovingly kept, with lighting to create even more magic! The kitchen is the heart of the house, with a cosy wood burner and tall chairs set around the sociable kitchen island, where you can congregate and enjoy family meals and drinks. The kitchen has ample storage space and is well equipped for your enjoyment. Head through to the lounge and relax on the comfortable sofas and watch a movie together on the Smart TV provided. Patio doors lead out from here onto your decked area with wonderful field views for miles. Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms: one king-size, one double, and 1 single room. The king-size and double bedrooms both have Smart TVs. The family bathroom has a great walk-in power shower to relieve any aching muscles after a day out exploring.

Outside, you have a wonderful area to relax and have meals al fresco as well as a welcoming hot tub, with views out over the fields. In the springtime, you can check in on the cute lambs that are on the doorstep of this working farm.
