The Buoys

The Buoys is a self-contained two-bedroom annexe in Mawgan Porth, sleeping up to four with a private entrance and small garden. The property sits 300 metres from Mawgan Porth beach, a wide sandy cove on the north Cornwall coast popular with families and surfers. Dogs are welcome, with parking on-site.

Inside, the lounge has a coal-effect electric fire and steps down to the garden. The contemporary kitchen-diner runs off the lounge and covers the cooking basics, with a washing machine included. Upstairs, a king-size bedroom has a TV, and the second bedroom is a single with a pull-out bed. A shower room with a walk-in shower and WC serves both rooms.

Outside, a small enclosed garden has furniture for outdoor dining and a BBQ, with rural views across the surrounding countryside. Mawgan Porth beach lies 300 metres away, Bedruthan Steps Beach is 2.1 km, and Watergate Bay 3 km. The South West Coast Path passes along the clifftop connecting all three.

Bedruthan Steps and the Carnewas headland, both National Trust land, sit under three miles away with their dramatic sea stacks. Japanese Gardens at St Mawgan is a short drive inland. Camel Creek Theme Park is seven miles, Newquay five miles, and the Eden Project around 18 miles. Watergate Bay's Extreme Academy offers kitesurfing and paddleboarding lessons.
