St Mawes Castle, a 15th-century fortress set within a sub-tropical garden, sits close by, and waterside paths follow the Percuil River up to St Just-in-Roseland church. Regular passenger ferries run across to Falmouth year-round, with a seasonal summer ferry across the Percuil to St Anthony. Hotel Tresanton's restaurant is walkable and takes non-residents by prior booking.
