Rowan Cottage

Rowan Cottage is a one-bedroom semi-detached cottage in Lanreath, a small inland village between Looe and Lostwithiel. It sleeps two in a king-size bedroom and works well for couples looking for a quiet base within easy reach of the south coast. Dogs are welcome.

Inside, the cottage has a shower room, an open-plan living area and a functional kitchen. A washing machine is provided, with wifi throughout and an accessible ground-floor layout. The interiors are comfortable and unshowy, with the living space opening onto the outdoor area.

Outside, the cottage has its own garden furniture, outdoor space and a shared upper garden. Private parking is provided for one car. The coastal beaches at Lansallos, Talland Bay and Lantic Bay all sit within six miles, giving a choice of quieter coves backed by the coast path.

Lanreath village has a community-run shop and two pubs: the Tipsy Cow, which runs quiz and entertainment evenings, and The Punchbowl Inn, first established in 1620 and recently refurbished. Looe, with its twin harbour and mainline rail station, is a short drive south, with the fishing village of Polperro a little further along the coast. Rowan Retreat sits alongside and can be booked together for two couples travelling as a group.
