Porthmeor Beach is 800m on foot - the surf beach on St Ives' north side, with a beach cafe and the Tate St Ives gallery positioned directly above the sand. The harbour beach is 1km, and Porthminster - a sheltered south-facing bay with a well-regarded beach restaurant - is 1.1km. The town centre, with its independent galleries, fish restaurants, and the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, is walkable in under 15 minutes from the house.

Best for: groups of up to eight wanting a St Ives base within walking distance of three beaches, with en-suite comfort and a hot tub for evenings. Less good for: those arriving by car who need on-site parking, or guests travelling with dogs.
