Penbarden Barn

Penbarden Barn is a converted barn in the hamlet of Dizzard on the north Cornwall coast, sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms. The layout includes a king en-suite, two twin rooms, and a ground-floor double - useful for anyone with limited mobility. Three bathrooms serve the group, and accessible features are in place throughout.

Inside, a wood burner and open fire mean the barn works well out of peak season. The kitchen connects to a utility room - practical for a group of eight, and the dishwasher takes the edge off longer stays. Lawned gardens wrap the cottage with parking for the group.

Crackington Haven beach is 3km away - a sand-and-shingle cove beneath cliffs that reach nearly 400 feet, with the Coombe Barton Inn a short walk from the shore. Millook Beach is closer at 2.3km, a more secluded option along the coast. Widemouth Bay, popular with surfers, is 4.8km north towards Bude. Best for groups who want a rural north coast base with real fires and coast path access on the doorstep. Less suitable for those needing a lively village setting - Dizzard is a hamlet, and the nearest facilities are at Crackington Haven.
