A woodburning stove warms the kitchen-diner, and a second sits in the sitting room. The kitchen has an electric double oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer.

Outside, a private courtyard provides space for barbecue dining, with off-road parking for two cars. Crantock Beach - a broad, dune-backed stretch managed by the National Trust - is 1km away. Fistral Beach, the UK's best-known surf break, sits 1.5km to the north.

Crantock village has the Old Albion pub and a small shop within 0.1 miles. The Gannel Estuary behind the beach draws kayakers and paddleboarders at high tide. Newquay and its restaurants, zoo, and aquarium are 2 miles northeast across the Gannel, reachable by foot ferry at low tide or a 10-minute drive.
