Mole Cottage

Mole Cottage is a listed 3-storey cottage in the centre of Mousehole, sleeping 4 in two bedrooms. The property sits roughly 100 metres from the harbour beach, with shops and pubs a 3-minute walk away along the village's narrow granite lanes.

The top floor holds a double bedroom with an electric fire and a bunk room. The middle floor is an open living and dining room with a wood burning stove. The ground floor has the kitchen and a shower room with basin and WC. A dishwasher and washer/dryer are included, along with Wi-Fi, TV, and a DVD player. The cottage retains its period character - exposed stone, compact rooms, and steep internal stairs typical of Mousehole's older buildings.

There is no private garden, but public parking is available within a 5-minute walk. Note that 8 steep steps lead up to the front door, and the internal stairs to the ground floor are also steep. Mousehole Beach is just 0.1 km from the cottage - a small, sheltered harbour beach with calm water suited to families. Lamorna Cove, a rocky inlet favoured by artists and good for snorkelling, is 2.9 km along the coast path.

Mousehole sits 3 miles south of Penzance on the South West Coast Path. The village harbour hosts a well-known light display each December and the Tom Bawcock's Eve celebration on 23 December. The Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital, open year-round, is a short walk from the cottage. One small dog is welcome.
