Located on a residential road, this neat cottage is a great base for families and couples who want to explore the Cornish coastline and beaches. Situated in the heart of Mousehole, Cornwall, the village is a pretty place for a stroll with its narrow streets and cafes, shops, and galleries. For a dip in the sea, it’s a short 100-yard walk to the harbour where you’ll find a small, sandy beach. The South West Coast Path can also be picked up at Mousehole and offers walkers beautiful coastal views and plenty of bird-watching opportunities. A popular trail is the 2.5-mile path to Lamorna Cove Beach. This small cove features calm waters and a beach café and is a relaxing spot for a swim and a bite to eat.

This compact two-bedroom cottage is light, airy, and adorned with simple furnishings. The open-plan lounge is neat and comfortable with plump leather sofas that invite you to sink into them after a day of activities. Large windows keep things cool on hot days, while a wood burner makes the place warm on chilly nights. A dining table seating four people overlooks the lounge and there’s also a well-equipped kitchen so you can rustle up a meal and still be part of the conversation. Upstairs there are two good-sized bedrooms featuring a double bed and twin beds. The rooms are cheerful, light, and uncluttered with glorious sea views visible from the double bedroom window. There’s also a pristine, white-tiled bathroom on this floor.

Back on ground level, steps lead down to a lovely, little garden. Spend time relaxing on the lawn or sit under a shady tree and feel at peace as you listen to the sound of the sea. And if you fancy eating outside there’s also a BBQ and garden table.
