Lower Gadles

Lower Gadles is a four-bedroom cottage near Burnthouse in the Kennall River valley, about 5 miles south-west of Truro. Set in a rural area between Falmouth and Truro, the property has an open fire in the sitting room and generous outdoor space - a solid choice for groups of up to eight.

Inside, four bedrooms provide flexible sleeping. One king-size has an en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC. The remaining rooms - a second king-size, a double, and a twin - share a bathroom with a roll-top bath, walk-in shower, and heated towel rail. A separate utility room has an additional WC. The ground floor has distinct zones: a kitchen with electric oven, hob, range, and dishwasher; a formal dining room; a sitting room with a woodburning stove; a snug with Smart TV; and a conservatory.

The rear garden has a lawn, garden furniture, and a charcoal BBQ. A side garden with patio leads to a garden gazebo housing a table tennis table. Off-road parking takes four cars. Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth - a Blue Flag sandy beach with a cafe and lifeguards in summer - is 6.5km south. Swanpool Beach, a sheltered crescent next to a nature reserve, is the same distance.

Ponsanooth has a pub, with Penryn 4 miles south. Falmouth's harbour, galleries, and restaurants are a short drive. The Kennall Vale nature reserve - a former gunpowder works with woodland walks along the river - is within walking distance.
