Longships

Longships is a two-storey apartment in The Old Hotel building in Porthcurno, one of west Cornwall's most dramatic coastal settings. The property sleeps 4 in two bedrooms and sits roughly 300 metres from Porthcurno Beach.

The king-size bedroom opens onto a decking area, and the twin room completes the sleeping arrangements. A bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, and WC serves both rooms. The open-plan ground floor combines kitchen, dining, and sitting areas. Equipment includes an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with FreeSat, and WiFi.

Decking with outdoor furniture provides a spot for morning coffee, and an outside shower handles wetsuits and sandy feet after beach sessions. The shared terrace garden has a patch of lawn accessible via steps from both the decking and the parking area, which fits one car. Porthcurno Beach - white sand, turquoise water, RNLI lifeguards in season - is 0.3km on foot. Porthchapel Beach, a quieter sandy cove below the Minack Theatre, is 0.8km. Pedn Vounder is 1.1km along the coast path.

The Minack Theatre sits on the cliffs directly above the beach, with performances running through the summer season. The Telegraph Museum in the valley below tells the story of Porthcurno's role in global communications. Open-top buses on the Penwith coastal route stop regularly in the village, connecting to St Ives and Penzance.
