Langurra

Langurra is a four-bedroom cottage in Crantock, a village 2 miles southwest of Newquay across the Gannel Estuary. Spread over three floors, the property sleeps six and has four bathrooms - practical for groups who prefer not to share.

The ground floor has an open-plan living space with a kitchen-diner and a sitting area anchored by a woodburning stove. A wet room with walk-in shower sits at ground level. The kitchen includes a range with electric oven and gas hob, a Nespresso VertuoPlus coffee machine, and a fridge/freezer. Upstairs, a double bedroom with en-suite and a twin (zip/link, convertible to super-king) with en-suite occupy the first floor, along with a shower room. A second-floor double with lower ceiling height and a single bedroom complete the sleeping arrangements. All bedrooms have TVs.

Off-road parking fits 2-3 cars. The enclosed garden is multi-level with a lawn, patio furniture, and a summer house. Two dogs are welcome at a charge of 30 pounds each per stay.

Crantock Beach - a broad sandy stretch backed by National Trust dunes - is 900m on foot. Fistral Beach, the UK's best-known surf break, is 1.6km north. The village has a 13th-century church, the Old Albion pub, and a small shop. Newquay's restaurants and attractions are a short drive or a low-tide wade across the Gannel.
