James' Place

James' Place is a ground-floor apartment on Melvill Road in Falmouth, sleeping 4 in two bedrooms. Castle Beach, a sand-and-shingle cove at the foot of Pendennis Castle, is 200m away - one of the closest beach positions in the town.

Both bedrooms are doubles. The main bedroom has an en-suite walk-in shower with heated towel rail; the second shares a family bathroom with bath and shower over. The kitchen-diner is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. The sitting room has Wi-Fi throughout. All rooms are on the ground floor, making access straightforward.

An enclosed rear garden has decking and outdoor furniture. Roadside parking is available. Two dogs are welcome. Beyond Castle Beach, Gyllyngvase Beach - Falmouth's Blue Flag sandy beach with a cafe, showers, and summer lifeguards - is 700m on foot. Swanpool Beach is 1.5km further along the coast.

Falmouth is a port and university town built around the third-deepest natural harbour in the world. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall sits on the waterfront, and Pendennis Castle (Henry VIII, 1540s) overlooks the harbour entrance. The town supports a year-round programme of festivals and has a strong concentration of restaurants and bars along the harbourside.
