Henwood Barn

Henwood Barn is a three-bedroom barn conversion near Upton Cross, a small village on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor about 4 miles north of Liskeard. The property sleeps five and welcomes two dogs, with shared grounds offering countryside views across the moorland fringe.

Inside, a king-size bedroom has a TV, a twin room offers zip-link beds convertible to king-size, and a single room completes the sleeping arrangements. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, heated towel rail, and basin. The sitting room centres on an open fire, and the kitchen-diner is fitted with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. Wi-Fi is available throughout.

The barn sits within a shared courtyard, and a communal lawn with picnic benches looks out over open countryside. Off-road parking is available for one car, and EV charging is provided on site. The nearest shop and pub are 1.4 miles away in the village.

Bodmin Moor rises directly to the north. Minions, Cornwall's highest village at around 1,000 feet, is roughly a mile away and serves as the starting point for walks to the Hurlers stone circles and the Cheesewring granite tor. Plaidy Beach near Looe, a calm mixed beach with rock pools, is the nearest coast at 19.5km. Downderry Beach, a south-facing mile-long stretch with views across Whitsand Bay, is 20.2km. Liskeard, with supermarkets and a railway station on the main Plymouth-to-Penzance line, is about 4 miles south.
