Welcome to The Headland. Everyone has a favourite time of year at The Headland. Whether it's the cosy escape in a turbulent winter, the balmy summer nights or picnics on the beach, you're always welcome here at The Headland. Cornwall in the spring is fresh and revitalising. The storms take a break (usually), the sun sits higher in the sky, and the sea calms itself if its playing nicely. A great time for coast walking and exploring before high season hits. In summer the beaches fill with families and surfers, there are day trips out of Newquay harbour, sightseeing and fishing and long balmy evenings sipping cocktails on The Headland's veranda overlooking Fistral. Summer sees you all: from dedicated surfers to big family gatherings. Bring a bit of beach back with you, we don't mind. There's cocktails on the terrace as the sun dips into the sea and poolside dining with Atlantic views. From crisp, cool air to the crunch of fallen leaves beneath your feet, autumn is a season of transformation and cosy comforts. Whether you're planning outdoor adventures or simply savouring the warmth of a crackling fire, there's something truly special about this time of year in Cornwall. Broody, magical, mystical. Mother Nature shows her strength. The seas lash the cliffs, the winds batter the coastline, but it's safe and sound at The Headland. Storm chasers gather here at this time of year for the spectacular views from our rooms and restaurants. And when the elements take a rest, you can venture out in to a spectacular landscape of low sun, long shadows and crisp salty air. The Headland is situated 1/2 a mile from the centre of Newquay right beside Fistral Beach. Newquay has superb transport links with it's own international airport and frequent train service. Taxis are plentiful and reliable.
