First-floor apartment on the harbour in Boscastle, the north Cornwall village rebuilt after the August 2004 flash flood. Sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, sits 100 metres from the river and the village pub, and is rated by 17 Sykes guests.

Two bedrooms (one king, one double) and a shower room with walk-in shower. The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting room with two sofas and an electric fire, with a sunroom extending the lounge. Wifi, dishwasher, washing machine and Smart TV are included. Oil central heating runs through cooler months.

The apartment opens to an enclosed terrace with outdoor furniture - useful for dogs (one welcome, supplement applies). Parking is in the public car park a short walk away rather than on site, which is the usual trade-off for being this close to the harbour.

The National Trust harbour walk and the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic are both within 5 minutes' walk. The South West Coast Path runs through the village, north 5 miles to Crackington Haven and south 4 miles to Tintagel Castle along clifftops. Bossiney Cove is 3.7 km away for sandy swimming at low tide. Best for: dog-owning couples or families of 4 wanting to walk everywhere from the door. Less good for: anyone needing on-site parking.
