Grandpa Dickson's

Grandpa Dickson's is a detached, timber-clad cottage in the hamlet of Little Petherick, a wooded creek valley about 2 miles south of Padstow. The property sits in a rural setting with off-road parking for 3 cars and a garden - more space than most Padstow-area rentals offer.

Inside, 3 bedrooms accommodate up to 6 guests: a king-size double, a second double, and a twin. The family bathroom has a bath with hand-held shower, and a separate shower room provides a second WC. The open-plan living area combines kitchen, sitting, and dining spaces with a large hallway. Full Fibre broadband, a dishwasher, and washing machine are included.

The garden surrounds the cottage, and Little Petherick Creek - a tidal inlet of the Camel Estuary known for birdwatching at high tide - is nearby. Trevone Bay, a sandy north coast beach with lifeguard cover and rock pools, is 4.6 km away. Harlyn Bay, a family-friendly beach with a pub right beside the sand, is 5.4 km.

Little Petherick has no pub or shop of its own, but Padstow's harbour, restaurants, and the start of the Camel Trail are a 5-minute drive north. Wadebridge is equally close to the south. Two dogs are welcome, with an additional charge for the second.
