Cory Farm Welcombe Cottage

This former detached workshop and log shed has been tastefully renovated to offer a delightful countryside escape with plenty of activities for adults and children. Sleeping up to four people, the cottage retains much of its traditional charms whilst giving you easy access to the region. North Cornwall has something to offer for all tastes ranging from impressive cliff-top walks along the South West coast Path, sheltered coves and long sandy surfing beaches. The closest rockpool beach and most secluded of all, is a 35 minutes walk from the farm down a winding tree-lined country road and along a wooded lane through the pretty Marsland Valley. Spend time here to spot the many rare species of flora and fauna and breath taking views. Ideal for exploring rockpools and an evening BBQ, you might find yourselves the only people there. For equestrian lovers there is a local riding school within a mile and other local attractions include Clovelly, Launceston Steam Railway, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way theme park. Explore the castle ruins at Tintagel or you could even take in a movie at the Rebel Cinema which is within driving distance. There’s something for everyone in North Cornwall.

This light and airy cottage creates the perfect ambience for a tranquil countryside stay. Entering the property, you’ll appreciate its open-plan living space with the cosy lounge area featuring comfy seating and a Smart TV for entertainment. This homely space also includes a warming wood burner for those cooler months and doors that open onto the enclosed patio. There is a spacious dining area to enjoy home cooked meals and the adjoining kitchen is equipped with electric oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Moving upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms including one double with an en-suite shower room and WC and one twin room. There is also a bathroom offering a bath with shower attachment and WC.

At the rear of the property, you can enjoy a private patio area with a BBQ, perfect for outside dining. The site also offers a range of activities for adults and children including an indoor all weather play barn with a table tennis table, trampoline, play towers, scramble net, slides and hard surfaced area for racquet and ball games (please bring your own equipment for table tennis and badminton). For small children there is a dedicated space with play castle and cottage, ride on toys and a small slide. If you’d like to exercise your dog at the complex, there is a designated field available.
