Cornerways

Cornerways is a three-storey cottage on Boskerris Road in Carbis Bay, 300 metres from the sandy beach. It sleeps six and has off-road parking for three cars - a genuine advantage in this part of west Cornwall where summer parking is tight. One dog is welcome (small to medium-sized).

The ground floor has a cinema room with surround sound, Blu-ray player, and PS3, plus a walk-in shower room. The first floor is open-plan living - kitchen, dining, and sitting area in one space. Upstairs on the second floor are three bedrooms: a king-size with en-suite shower, a double, and a twin, served by a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. A balcony opens off this level.

Carbis Bay Beach - a Blue Flag sandy cove with seasonal lifeguards and calm water - is a 4-minute walk. Porthkidney Beach, a wide dune-backed strand popular for birdwatching, is 1.8 km along the coast. The South West Coast Path passes directly through the village.

Carbis Bay sits one stop from St Ives on the branch line, or a 25-minute walk along the coast path. The village has a small cluster of shops, cafes, and a post office. The Carbis Bay Hotel, which hosted the 2021 G7 summit, is on the headland above the beach. St Erth station, connecting to the mainline, is 12 minutes by train.
