Cider Press

Cider Press is a one-bedroom converted cottage for two in the Luxulyan Valley, 3 miles from the Eden Project. The property sits across the river from the original mill, surrounded by woodland and private grounds, with its own parking and a riverside garden running down to the River Par.

Inside, the layout is inverted to make the most of the surroundings, with double glazing throughout and a super-king bed. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine, and wifi is fitted. The cottage accepts one small or medium dog and includes accessible access.

Outside, the riverside garden extends to the boulder-strewn River Par, giving a private outdoor space with the water at its edge. Mobile phone reception is absent here - the location is genuinely remote, accessed via narrow country lanes. The nearest beaches are Par Sands and Polkerris harbour beach, both around 10 minutes by car.

The cottage sits within the Luxulyan Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognised for its industrial archaeology and mixed woodland. Luxulyan and St Blazey villages are 1.5 miles away for local shops and pubs. A 15-minute drive reaches Lostwithiel, Fowey and St Austell, and the Camel Trail and Cardinham Woods are within easy range for walking and cycling.
