Chyandaunce

Chyandaunce is a three-bedroom cottage in Gulval, a hillside village about a mile northeast of Penzance overlooking Mount's Bay. The property sleeps eight across a family room with double and bunk bed, a king-size bedroom, and a ground-floor twin with access to a Jack-and-Jill bathroom.

The ground-floor Jack-and-Jill bathroom has a bath, basin, and WC. A separate shower room upstairs provides a walk-in shower, basin, and WC. The kitchen sits on the ground floor, with an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine. A dining room with TV and a first-floor sitting room give the layout a sense of separation between living spaces. Note: two steps lead down from the ground-floor bedroom into the kitchen.

A shared garden with gravel and outdoor furniture provides space outside. Off-road parking is available for up to two cars. Eastern Green Beach - a quiet sandy beach with views of St Michael's Mount - is just 800m away. Long Rock Beach, dog-friendly year-round with sand and shingle, is 1.9km along the coast. Two dogs are welcome.

Penzance is a short walk downhill, with the Jubilee Pool lido, shops, restaurants, and the Isles of Scilly ferry terminal at the harbour. St Michael's Mount is about 3 miles east via the tidal causeway at Marazion. Land's End is 10 miles west, and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno roughly 9 miles.
