Chy-Whel

Chy-Whel is a detached single-storey bungalow on Aveling Parc in Sticker, a village 3 miles west of St Austell. The all-ground-floor layout and underfloor heating make it a comfortable base in any season, and three dogs are welcome at an additional charge.

Two king-size bedrooms share one bathroom fitted with a bath, walk-in shower, hand-held shower attachment, heated towel rail, and WC. The open-plan living space includes a kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine, plus a sitting area with an electric fire. A Smart TV with Netflix and Wi-Fi are available. A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request.

An enclosed courtyard has outdoor seating and a barbecue. Off-road parking takes two cars, and an EV charger is available (usage fees apply). Pentewan Beach - nearly a mile of golden sand with summer lifeguards - is 5km to the south. Porthpean Beach, a sheltered sandy cove, is also 5km away. The shop is 0.3 miles and the pub 0.2 miles from the door.

The Eden Project is 4 miles north, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan a similar distance south. Charlestown's Georgian harbour, with its tall ships and Shipwreck Treasure Museum, is under 6km by road. Sticker sits on the edge of the clay country - the Cornish Alps - giving access to both coast and inland Cornwall.
