Stratton was once an ancient market town, believed to be established in Roman Times, and still has an olde worlde feel with its historic buildings and narrow streets. The nearby town of Bude (1.5 miles) offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, craft shops and a choice of three sandy beaches, as well as a sea pool and golf course. The north coast of Cornwall and Devon is renowned for its rugged coastline and handsome fishing villages including Clovelly, Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Isaac, all within 30 miles, and you can enjoy the dramatic views from the South West Coast Path. Family attractions nearby include The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Trethorne Leisure Park and Tamar Lakes with its wealth of water sports, superb fishing and great walk, all within 23 miles.
