Beachcomber is a first-floor apartment in the Riverside Apartments block on St Ives Road, Carbis Bay, sleeping four across two bedrooms. A direct path from the cottage leads down to Carbis Bay beach - the sand is effectively on the doorstep. The apartment has a south-facing garden with a BBQ, making it suited to summer evenings outside.

The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher. A washing machine, WiFi, and off-road parking are included. One bathroom serves both bedrooms. The apartment has been reviewed 33 times on Sykes, which provides a reasonable indication of repeat use for a property of this size.

St Ives is 1.9km along the coast path or coastal road - close enough to walk, with cafes, galleries, and the Tate St Ives on Porthmeor Beach as the main draws. Porthminster Beach, the broad south-facing strand between Carbis Bay and St Ives town, is also 1.9km and calmer than Porthmeor in most wind conditions. Porthkidney, a long wild beach on the Hayle estuary, is 2.1km in the other direction.

Best for: couples or small families wanting direct beach access and a base within walking reach of St Ives. Less good for: guests expecting a sea view from inside the apartment (no sea view in the amenities) or those travelling with dogs.
