Three-bedroom maisonette on the clifftop in New Polzeath, sleeping six. Polzeath Beach sits 500 metres south down the lane - a wide, lifeguarded surf beach with multiple surf schools.

The cottage runs open-plan on the ground floor: sitting room, dining area and a full kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs has a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower, a double, and a third bedroom with a single bed and pull-out, plus a family bathroom. Outside is an enclosed patio with a charcoal barbecue and garden seating. Parking is on-site, Wi-Fi runs throughout, no dogs.

New Polzeath is the smaller, quieter village immediately above Polzeath Beach. The Surfrider Inn and the village shop are both a short walk. The South West Coast Path runs through the village - head north 30 minutes to Pentire Point and the Iron Age cliff fort at The Rumps. South of Polzeath, Daymer Bay is a sheltered family beach 2km away, with St Enodoc Church (where John Betjeman is buried) tucked into the dunes nearby and the Padstow ferry from Rock another mile beyond.

Best for families and friends wanting walking-distance access to the surf without being in the thick of Polzeath itself. Less good for dog owners or guests needing ground-floor access - it is a maisonette with stairs.
