23 Bossiney Bay

Single-storey lodge inside the Bossiney Bay holiday park, half a kilometre from Bossiney Cove on Cornwall's north coast. The cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and sits a mile north of Tintagel village. The on-site shop and pub are both under a quarter of a mile from the door.

Everything is on one level, which suits guests who want to skip the stairs. The double has an en-suite, and two twin rooms share a family bathroom with shower over the bath. The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area runs off a single space with an electric fire as the focal point. Dishwasher, washing machine, gas hob and electric oven cover the basics; Wi-Fi and TV are included.

Outside, a furnished decking area gives you somewhere to eat in the sun, and there's off-road parking for two cars plus an EV charge point. Bossiney Cove sits 0.5km away down a steep path, accessible only at low tide and known for its turquoise water and the Elephant Rock formation. Tintagel Castle and the 2019 footbridge over the 58-metre gorge are a short drive south, and the South West Coast Path passes the park heading 4 miles north to Boscastle.

Best for couples or two families wanting single-level living near a tidal cove. Less good for groups arriving midweek - changeovers are Friday or Sunday only - or those wanting a fenced garden for dogs (no pets accepted).
