Maenporth Beach is a short walk down the lane - a sheltered south-facing sandy cove with the Cove Restaurant and seasonal kayak hire. Falmouth sits 1.5 miles north for the National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle, and the third-deepest natural harbour in the world. The South West Coast Path runs above the cove: north to Swanpool, or south through woodland to Trebah Garden and the Helford River 4 miles on.

Best for couples or small families wanting a hot tub plus full estate access. Less good if you need a sea-view property - the outlook here is woodland.
