Porthcurno Beach
Porthcurno Beach lies far to the west of Cornwall, wedged between towering granite cliffs with white sand that turns the shallow water a vivid turquoise. The fine white sands extend at low tide, making it one of the most photographed beaches in the county.
One of Porthcurno Beach’s most notable features is the sea; it is incredibly clear and vibrant, often conjuring up memories of more tropical settings. Because of its clarity, it is an excellent place to swim, snorkel, and even dive. Enclosed by rugged cliffs and dense vegetation, Porthcurno is popular for the Minack Theatre above the cliff face and the clear water below — an unusual combination of cultural and natural attraction in the same compact cove.
