Mousehole Beach
Set within the protected granite harbour of Mousehole, a historic fishing village close to Penzance, Mousehole Beach is a small sheltered cove between two sturdy stone piers. The harbour walls keep the water calm, making it well suited to families and young children.
Actually, it is one of the greatest family beaches in the area. The small sun lounge is situated between the robust granite piers; the water is remarkably clean for a working harbor, and there is never more than a ripple here. At lower tide, it is easy to stroll between the two sand patches that make up the harbor beach.
Mousehole Beach offers a compact but memorable experience — the combination of a working granite harbour, clear water, and the narrow lanes and pubs of the village makes it one of the most atmospheric beach stops on the Penwith coast.
