Mousehole Rock Pool

Mousehole Rock Pool, located just south of Mousehole harbour in Cornwall, is a charming, community-built tidal pool dating back to the mid-20th century. Designed to provide a safe and shallow space for local children to swim, the 12×12 metre pool fills with seawater at high tide and looks out across Mount’s Bay toward St Michael’s Mount. Sitting beside the popular Rock Pool Café, it has become a beloved feature of the village, recently restored through local fundraising efforts to improve access and repair its historic stonework. Free and open year-round, this tranquil spot is ideal for families and wild swimmers alike—just be cautious on the occasionally slippery rocks.
