Want to be close enough to the sea to smell it? Then this is for you. This is a couple’s dream as it is a secluded haven in the centre of Newquay overlooking the harbour. It has 1 large double bed and a kitchen. It is equipped with everything you will need including a microwave, fridge and washing machine. This apartment also has a terrace overlooking Newquay bay.

Newquay is known for its beaches and nightlife. If you are after a fun-filled break where you can choose what days to hit it hard and what days to chill on one of Newquay’s many stunning beaches then this is the place for you. Ideal for activities such as hiking, cycling, different water sports and boat trips and fishing available from the harbour. There are some fantastic restaurants and many pubs right on your doorstep here for you to enjoy.

I definitely recommend this for couples who want a varied break with some lively moments as well as relaxing times. Another plus point for this apartment is that it is dog friendly. This 2 bedroom apartment is set in the stunning town of St Ives. It is a real favourite of visitors in the region because of its beauty and charm. Free parking and wifi come as a standard. This apartment also has a kitchen with everything you will need. There’s an oven, a washing machine and a tumble dryer, essential for swimming gear and beach towels.  This is perfect for adventurous families who want to explore this coastal paradise by kinking, cycling, surfing, kayaking as well as a whole host of other water sports. It gives the best setting for you to really relax on your Cornish break too if that’s what you fancy.

This is ideal for families or groups of friends. You can access the A30 really easily from St Ives which gives you access right through Cornwall so you can explore it when you like. The great thing about Cornwall is that you can pretty much drive from one end to the other in less than a few hours. You really are not far from anything that you are keen to do.

I recommend this spot for families or groups because you get fantastic bars and restaurants. There are great attractions like the Tate modern on your doorstep as well as being right on a beach. You are also not far from St Michael’s mount and Flambards theme park which although has a lot of attractions for the kids offers some great things for adults to enjoy too such as a fantastic WW2 display. A great location both in St Ives and in Cornwall.

Polmear Harbour View, Looe

This compact 1 bedroom apartment is in a fantastic location. It overlooks the harbour and ocean in the lively coastal town of Looe. It has an open plan layout and a large double bed in a separate bedroom. Parking is available and there is free wifi. The view is definitely that Cornish dream of a fishing village and beautiful ocean and boats. You can sit out on the terrace and enjoy this view all day if you like. I’m sure you will lose hours watching the world go by.

There are a lot of restaurants and bars on your doorstep here. You don’t even have to leave the town to have a great time. You can sample some fresh Cornish seafood and chilled wine here and explore the beach and harbour. Boat trips and other water activities are available right outside your door. The apartment itself is on a quiet street. You can get a great night’s sleep before you are up and out the next day.

Looe is located more towards the East of Cornwall. The world-famous Eden project is only 12 miles away and Plymouth pavilions are only 13 miles away. You can have the best of both worlds and enjoy a quiet coastal break but also have some great attractions close by. I recommend this apartment for couples who want a nice chilled break where they have lots to do on their doorstep. Looe also offers many music and food festivals throughout the year. You can coincide your visit with something more lively like this if you would like. If you are a family who really likes this area and this location there is also a 2 bedroom apartment owned by the salespeople in the same location called Lanescot.

The Longroom Luxury Suite, Padstow

Just 3 minutes away from the beautiful harbour in Padstow is this luxury apartment. It will give you something special in a stunning Cornish village which offers some of the best food and drink in Cornwall. You have probably heard that Rick Stein has a restaurant, a takeaway and a shop here but you can also sign up for some cooking classes from the Rick Stein company. There is also Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred No.6 restaurant so you are not going to go hungry in Padstow. Of course though if you just want a delicious Cornish pastry then you can just grab one of these from the many Cornish Bakeries in the town too.

The apartment itself is stylishly decorated to a high standard. It offers some great facilities such as a restaurant and bar on site. You can also hire bikes or cars at the site. Brilliantly located if hiking or riding is what you are after. The area also offers water activities such as fishing and speed boat rides. If you are feeling delicate from too much Cornish cider the night before why not just lie on one of the beaches in the area and relax.

As you would expect free parking and wifi are available at this property. You will not be disappointed with the decoration and the quality of this apartment. I recommend it for couples who want to come and see a real part of Cornwall which offers coastal delight as well as amazing access to the countryside too. This facility offers a selection of 1 or 2 bedroom apartments. Some feature sea views but obviously all being close to the beach in Portreath. The apartments are modern and fresh. It will give you the perfect setting to have that self-catering trip by the beach in Cornwall either as a couple or as a family or group of friends. If there are quite a lot of you then you can request multiple apartments but will all be in the same building.

As far as Portreath goes there are a whole array of activities that you can sign up for right here. Water activities include boat trips, diving, fishing, horse riding, cycling and hiking. You can relax on the beach whenever you please too. There are some great choices of restaurants and bars in the area. You are also not far from some of Cornwall’s best attractions. Fistral Beach is just 13 miles away and Flambards just 11. St Ives is pretty close and you can be in the city of Truro in 10 minutes. Such a great location to explore the county.

I recommend this for couples, families or groups. The apartment building is family run and the Cornish family that run it live on site within the building so are on hand for any help or advice that you may need. The beauty of having an apartment also gives you the options to eat in. These apartments are equipped with everything that you will need as well as a washing machine and dryer. Perfect for all those sandy wet clothes from your adventures at the beach.

5 Fistral Beach, Newquay

You can even turn your lounge into a balcony with these open patio doors where you can watch the most amazing views across Fistral Beach. The apartment itself is well presented. Fistral beach is world-famous for surfing and its Board masters festival. There are some great dining options too right on the beach. There is a takeaway from Rick Stein and the beach bar which is literally on the beach where you can enjoy a Cornish cider and watch the sun go down with some live DJ playing some soulful music while you do. Highly recommend if you want to stay in Newquay due to its great location.
